Also clearly if you take your t/bs out you will have to get different springs and the valving may not work as designed by the factory or at least might need re valving?

Sent you a PM of my communication with the KW engineers and running V3 w/out torsion bars.

PCQ Sprint - they have scales at some events

I would imagine you do not want to run V3's without the torsion bar because the V3 spring rate would be off by a fair amount I guess. If you went with the V2 and custom spring rates it should not be an issue.

Yes, please post that info. I'm sure it's nothing confidential.
thanks

The KW engineers had no issues with running a 500lb spring and no torsion bars with the V3, and said it would work quite well. They recommended 1-2 more clicks of rebound over factory preset. I easily have enough adjustment left to over damp this spring rate. I actually settled on the factory compression setting.

So is a 500lb rear spring with no torsion bar approx. the same effective rate as the standard V3 kit supplied rear spring with a torsion bar installed?

Otherwise, you'd also want to change your front springs to balance, presumably.

Travis, if could PM me the full email correspondence, I'd appreciate it.

BTW, the standard kit spring rates installed with the torsion bars feel very balanced "out of the box", at least to me... managed about 15 laps at Lakeside on Saturday before non-suspension related issues forced an early retirement. I am impressed. Seems to have cured the oversteer tendencies of my previous set-up. This is with stock S2 sways...

I was just starting with the recommended "street" settings, too (for ride height, bump and rebound settings). Next time I'll try the "track" settings to compare. It just seems like a very well thought out "plug and play" kit, as people have said many times...
