I'm supposed to have this :
from powerhaus (website)

Average horsepower gains over Stock
(‘86 944T tested on Dynojet model 248E chassis dynamometer):
PH K-27-DR Turbo (sold exchange)
PH Mass Flow Sensor & Chips (Stage 2)
Bosch 3.0 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator (required w/ K-27)

265 WHP on a non-S 1986 model. The car does feel like 265 WHP.

Its not stock - it has the banjo bolt mod in place for both tests. The banjo bolt mod is a restriction in the wastegate signal line – it raises the boost – usually to somewhere around 1 bar…but some times more…

Sorry - should have clarified that a little more. With the stock chips I ran the stock non modded banjo bolt.

Nope - stock FPR for both runs. When I got this car it had these Autothority chips in it and according to the records that came with the car they have been in it since 1995.

Here's my guess:
232 whp max in stock form, 238 w/ the Autothority stuff.

The turbo s Autothority chips were designed to run (and came with) with a 3 bar FPR….so you might just be running a little lean if you don’t have one…

I would guess that you have the 3 bar FPR but just don’t know it yet!

Oh yeah, I revise my guess – still 247.8 for the chipped/banjo version and 219.6 for the stock version.

There are various size restrictors that go into the banjo bolt. The smaller the orifice, the higher the boost hits. What size restrictor did you have?
In general APE used the stock FPR, they went to 3bar with upgraded turbo or custom chips.

Hmmmm….my rare chance to disagree with John!!!
The Turbo S Autothority kit came with the 3.0 FPR. The non Turbo S did not. Of course you could always get something custom made….but I would call John for that anyway!
