Anybody know of a nice Black on Black 951? Stock or mild mods OK.

It needs to be a very nice looker and no mechanical issues. A friend of mind wants to buy one and give it to her husband for his Birthday as a surprise.
The interesting part is that he bought an ’82 Black on Black 944 at the factory in Germany – it was the actual car in the early brochures for the 944. He imported it back to the US as a grey market car and kept it for quite a while. He told his wife that he has always regretted selling it. Nice guy…he needs a Porsche back in his life!

It took a while but I convinced his wife that we could find a much better 951 instead of an NA (her original request) and that her husband would enjoy driving the turbo more…

So this needs to be a really nice 951.

She is ready to buy NOW.

My only comment if he enjoyed his '82 would be to look for an early 951, with the fuchs and lighter kerb weight.

Stone grey, burgunday sport seats, ABS, LSD, 48k original, 18" wheels, Euro fog, APE MAF mod. He's asking $14k, not black on black but nice car, no issues at all - just serviced two years at Memphis Motorwerks in Memphis, belts/pump/rollers.

So Chris' plan must be this:
- help out 'friend' buy a 951 for husband
- 'friend' and husband get divorced arguing over first repair bill of the car
- Chris offers to repair car for cheap
- 'friend' is deeply indebted and in awe of Chris' mechanical skills
- Chris shows 'friend' his tool
- queue '80s **** background music

If an S2 would do the trick, I have a lead. 60,000 mile car, same owner for the last 10 years or so. Beat out a national concours winner at a local show once. I'll shoot you a PM, as well, but figured I'd throw this up there in the event anyone else may have similar thoughts.
