Haha, that's true. So he's got a one-up on most of us. Good luck with the sale I guess, but I wouldn't pay half of what he's asking.

Look at the illuminated intercooler.... that right there is worth every penny of the $23k....what you guys dont understand is that illumination is alien technology that allows the car to make the 450rwhp...its special light cooling.

Wow ! I don't know who owens this car, but you guys are all nuts. Someone spent a lot of$$ to make this car "his" and all you do is beat him up. Then you say it's not worth the $$ and complain that the price of our cars is dropping fast!! Now, I do think it's over priced, but how much have you spent on your car and what would you sell it for?? Flame if you want but think about it first.

Good point. I've got to admit that if I knew I could have purchased a 2004-2006 911 tt for around 40K, and put 30K into it to get similar results as my current 951, I would probably have just gone this route.

When I started my project, 911TT were still in the high 80's. Modding them back then was another 50K. It's amazing what you can buy in this market. Looks like the 951 will be my main sports car for a while.

Nobody in their right mind would expect a 944 or it's variants to keep value or increase value when they are modified, these cars are not 911's, you buy them and you mod them just for the fun of it not for investment purposes. Because they are inexpensive and can easily be modify.

It wouldn't look quite as ridiculous if he at least threw some cheap corbeau's or something in there for the harnesses or dropped them completely. And the stock brakes painted blue look pretty retarded under those big wheels... If he really spent so much big reds/blacks wouldn't be that far out of the question.

This goes for 911 cars, and actually any car. My point was that you can buy just about anything for 50K today. The high end car market has been devestated. Resale values are worse than I've ever seen for all cars. You can buy a Vanquish for under 70K with just 15k miles on the clock. Not my cup of tea, but these cars were $250k a few years ago.

A friend just purchased a 2008 911TT. Full Promotive upgrades. Car cost the owner over 200K and it only had 8K on the clock for $80,000.

My 951 has much money into it, and I did it because I wanted a wicked 951. I don't expect any money in return, nor will I ever get close to what I've put into the car. I can state that driving my 951 is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.

I enjoy driving my car more than any other car I've owned or driven. Hard to put a price on that.
