You don't actually have to price it, weigh it, or even design it, true 'listers already know all the details from reading the thread title.

We have the first version of the 6 priced. WG dumped to atmosphere, less muffler and pre-muffler is $749.95. $111 more then our 4" WG Dump less muffler. Would you pay $111 for more power? Most customers probably would. Weight on that system, less muffler is 36.3#. Muffler #1 is 12.1#.

Probably have t oad dsome fuel like with other increases in exhaust as it flows better it breathes better so will need some more fuel, but that is a good thing!

Found this on a Corvette forum about installing cutouts:

"Quote:Some backpressure is needed for proper ignition timing."

MYTH!!! It's not clear what you are trying to say here, but for every psi of backpressure you loose about one psi BMEP because the engine has to pump the exhaust out against the backpressure. Optimum ignition timing for any operating condition has little or no correlation to exhaust back pressure, and modern engines do not use exhaust pressure as an input to the ignition timing algorithm in the PCM.

Back in the old days backpressure could affect carburetor metering, but not on a modern EFI system with a MAF.

So we should have all stayed with stock exhaust and just installed cut outs as close to the downpipe as possible.

Please post some dyno results when you have them.

We don't expect this to be our biggest selling sytem, only our biggest.
I can respect that then. Must be some badass street cars you're catering to.

To stay on topic, however, I'm sure less back pressure can only be good. I'd move to this system, but I'm concerned the weight might bend my block.

So, I wanna hear a sound clip when someone gets this on their car. I know my car has a 3" no cat, with a borla xr1 and it screams. I can only imagine how loud this is going to be. Get them clips posted....

Found this on a Corvette forum about installing cutouts:
I thought the corvette was a NA car, importance of exhaust back pressure is different on turbo cars . At leased i have been told so

Corvette is a NA car, and yes the back pressure issues are completely different on a NA car compared to a turbo car.

That was part of the reason I posted as even on NA cars they were seeing nice gains from eliminating backpressure so on a forced induction motor the gains are 2+fold.

Mike: Have you been able to aquire data that shows how much gain in hp or spool up is made for each psi of eliminated backpressure?

well if its made of the same material and is larger in size that equals more weight... how is that jumping to conclusions?

Perhaps the weight increase isn't substantial compared to power gained. Just saying...
