DIY T04E Turbo Rebuild?
Guys, I searched the old threads about this but the only relevant ones I could find were several years old so I thought I'd ask this again for my situation:
I've had issues the past few years with bad smoking under boost. The fact that it is intermittent and that I see a lot of oil in my intercooler lines leads me to believe that my turbo oil seals have died. It is a fairly new LR Sport Turbo, a few years old but very low mileage.
I brought it in to a local commercial turbo rebuilder who quoted me $500 for a rebuild! This was not in the budget so I left with a T04E rebuild kit for $130.
I'm looking for any advice, resources, special tools, shop manuals etc. for my first DIY turbo rebuild. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
