Nevermind, what I meant to say was that the lettering on '91 calipers is not embossed, and anyone rebuilding a set of these may have to use stickers to restore a possibly damaged lettering.

Interesting article on caliper painting by PMB. That said, I did have my "big blacks" and rear S2 calipers powder coated red. I removed the pistons, seals and spring plates and the powder coater did the rest. I don't know if the anodizing was stripped off or not. All I know is they were done 18 years ago and still look like new. I had purchased PORSCHE decals in black and they were applied before the top clearcoat.

Ha, ha, I took this picture on Mother's Day 2003. I'm sure my wife appreciated the "gift."

Just got these back from PMB. Big Blacks up front, standard calipers out back.
