Default Inspection camera

I though I would pass along a nice tool at an affordable price $99. Some of the stuff from Harbor Freight is junk but other equipment is quite good. I purchased one of these at work to try it out in a couple of tight inspection places we have. The unit works as advertised and might come in handy finding a lost part that falls into the engine somewhere.

Good find. I purchased a similar one a couple of years ago for $400, interesting how the prices are much more reasonable now.

When inspecting the cylinders, make sure the attached mirror is well attached (even taped). It's easy for it to fall off, don't ask how I know!

Our local oreilly auto parts also sells a nice scope with an lcd screen which is really handy. Much better than trying to view through an eye piece.

Just ordered the HF scope. After borrowing my mate's $400 Rigid SeeSnake too many times, the $99 price tag on the HF unit was worth a shot! It looks a LOT like a copy of the Rigid piece:

I just went to buy one an hour ago with a 20% off coupon, I had to get a rain check; they have more coming in this week. The tip looks like it will fit down a plug hole OK and has a mirror attachment. I was able to play with one at the store and I was amazed how clear the image was.

I bought the snap-on one for 239 when they first came on special. I have an provision one with the eyepiece I still use occasionally as well but the lcd screen is very nice indeed!

Anytime Brian. I know my order was back-ordered for a week so I hope they have built up their stock for this sale.

Has anyone used this scope? I'm wondering if the point of view angle is too narrow. If you're using to inspect cylinder walls, how would you get the viewer to maneuver the camera at a right angle to see the cylinder wall. I would be leery to attach a mirror to the end of it and stick it down into a cylinder.
