Default Clutch Replacement in Houston

Have any of you Houstonites had someone else replace the clutch for you?
I'm possibly looking for a good shop to replace mine.

I'm not entirely sure that I need the clutch to be replaced, but last night I shifted hard into 4th under full throttle and the car seemed to fall on it's face. I don't remember the revs climbing quickly while the car failed to accelerate, but it did rev slowly and felt like it was still accelerating, so perhaps the clutch just didn't have a chance to grab the gear but was not slipping completely.
My AFR's were high 10's but unfortunately I could not see my boost gauge as I haven't hooked up the lighting to it yet, so I do not know if for some reason it just happened to fall out of boost.
Later last night I was in 4th and experimented just getting on it but it did not slip at all. So, perhaps it's on the verge, but either way if and when it does need changing I'm not sure I'll have the tools to do it myself nor the time away from my car that I would need to do it solo.

I definitely hope it's not the clutch, but I know it'll go sooner or later.

There are a couple places in town that could do it for you.

Did you smell the clutch?

No, that's the other thing, I thought for sure the car would have been filled with the smell of clutch. I'm starting to wonder if it was something else now.

That would be my suggestion as well. Sam will have a full shop (most likely) with the club race coming up in March, but I'm sure he'd knock out that clutch job no problem. In fact, wouldn't hurt to take it to him to have him diagnose the problem and make sure it's the clutch to begin with.

Sam IS the Porsche speed shop in H-town.

Go there and see for yourself. Most of his work is on modified/track cars.

So I went by today and got my head talked off by everyone there haha. Very cool group of people, I plan on stopping by a lot more often. Maybe I'll get to see you there sometime 95one.
I'd like to have them tune my LR power perfect/mafterburner MAF once I get it in.

Are you sure it's the clutch? If it fell flat at 4000 rpm and you heard a sound like a water fall. Ran fine other wise but no boost, it could be the reducer hose from the intake manifold to the inter cooler hard pipe.

Just a thought.
