Contact me if you are, I'm looking to buy.

I haven't seen many conversions with working AC. The 951 radiator simply isn't large enough for it...and the RH radiator is less efficient than the 951 radiator.
I do know of a few people that have run it though.

Actually the 951 radiator works great with A/C on the street. I run my A/C all summer long in 100* ambient and it never runs hot.
Good luck with the search. It's hard to find someone willing to part with one.

This one has been up for sale in the LA area for a few months:

Tempting for sure, looks like a pretty well done swap. No affiliation, blah, blah, blah.

So you haven't seen it in person? Who would I even take it to for an inspection? Is there a shop there that knows enough about a 944 turbo and this conversion that they can say if it was done well?

don't really know too much about them except one of the times i stopped in to look, they had a 951 which was heavily modified and upon asking about it i found out it belonged to the owner and he was in the process of switching it over to an LS1. that was a couple of years ago but he seemed to know his stuff.

I think this shop is pretty well respected in the area, although I haven't used them personally...

They're tech inspectors for POC/PCA type things.

I'll give ya a ring later.
Cole, time to get something dedicated for track use. The M3 is a wonderful car and fills the track/daily driver role well, but I'm uncomfortable really pushing it on the track.
It doesn't have the safety equipment I need and I can't install it otherwise I ruin it as a daily driver. It's also too expensive for me to push really hard as I'm reluctant to crash it and don't want to ruin my daily.
I figure I can sell/part it out, buy a 951 (whether "normal" or LS'd) put in rollbar, seats, harnesses and drive it to the track and use it on nice days around town. I'll still have enough to go out and buy a true daily driver, maybe even sell the Jeep and replace it with a 4Runner or something.
