Lindsey Exhaust Pressure Gauge Kit Q's
Does anyone know where the LR exhaust pressure gauge tap into the cross-over pipe? Is there a bung that needs to be drilled/welded into the x-over pipe or does it attach to the test port on the exhaust?
It seems that the only "safe" way to install this if drilling a hole and welding a bung on is needed to to remove the cross-over pipe? I would hate to see what fine metal shavings would do inside the x-over and it would be hard to guarantee that no shavings were in the pipe if it wasnt removed.
This seems like a neat idea to me.

Looking at it seems pretty strange that hot gas goes straight into the gauge. But look at the length of the small diameter copper tube. I suspect that the copper tube really cools the gas off pretty well before it hits the gauage. Keep in mind, that copper is a very very good heat conductor and there is a small amount of gas going into it. Most of the gas dead heads into the gauge and is not a free flow condition.
