86 944 Turbo - Initial Vibration when starting
Hello.
When I start my 944 Turbo, there is vibration. It goes away as the car get warm. I had some pipes and clamps replaced and the mechanic said that should help. Once the car gets warm, it is much better. Any thoughts...
Motor Mounts??? but the shop said they were fine, but I have heard they can have hairline crack which cannot be seen.

Motor mounts on my car looked OK and were within spec for the test described on clarks-garage, but one was torn in half. Couldn't tell there was a problem until I dropped the k-member. My symptoms were just as you described. You might also look at the upper radiator hose, mine was getting chewed up by the alternator pulley.
