someone get a chip reader so we can take the code, burn our own chips and use junkyard mafs
Most older E-proms can be read. I have most of the available 951 codes in the market read into my computer. It has been nice to compare these codes to each other.

Newer flash memories might be a diffrent story. Luckily these are so much modern tecnology which give both hardware and software wise possibilities to protect code. I hope Thomas have done that in his MAF controller. Even if you managed to get the code it will not work with another MAF sensors than spesific Bosch units, which is the most expensive part in Scivision's MAF kit.

Sorry!

I was trying to say that you have the ability to read a chip for tuning purposes. Not to infer that you copy code and re package, etc.

Thanks. I hope it works.

Anyway - while you can disassemble the 951 DME code on a rainy weekend, it will take much more time to disassemble 600 lines of C-code.

Remarkable that the Chinese way of engineering found its way to the USA...

It's not just your product which people like to copy. After all 944 markets are relatively small and if someone makes a nice product it will be soon copied by other companies, at least the basic design.Happens in USA & Europe as well.

Capitalism at its finest.

And especially code! Hell, if you want to become the richest man in the world, just copy code and re package it.

But as it pertains to the 944/951 community, it is pretty tight lipped and proprietary info seems to stay fairly private.

Thread hijack one more time to Transaxle...

Does the Scivision converter also manage temperature variations? Always wondered if addressing differences in the AFM and AIT approach vs the MAF approach are covered by the converter unit ... never found the answer in the archives - sorry if I missed it.

Jeff (has a Scivision, very happy with it)
