Caster blocks. M030 vs 968?
#16
Just bought a set of the upgraded 968 types from the dealer and they had one of those made in Italy stickers on them .
Ordered one of the e-bay sets and they are absolutely the same for 1/2 price.

You might take a long look at the ones you have. If they are original they are good and old. When I replaced mine they were visibly worn.

That's pretty common. There are a couple of reliable ebay sellers of 968 blocks. I've bought two, and they were exactly the same as factory, for significantly less money. Porsche doen't actually manufacture them anymore.

It's also worth noting that if you replace the stock 16" wheels with anything larger, the rubber bushings in the stock 951 caster blocks will fail and blow out. BTDT.

While we're on the subject, i keep hearing about how Porsche recommended a few upgrades if running 17's or larger. So the 968 blocks are one thing, what else is there? (Sorry, i'm sure this is a common question, but i searched a little and couldn't quite hit on the right search terms).
