Default (new) question on 951 intake mani (post 10)

Can anyone tell me if the runners of the 951 manifold are level at the point where I drew the green line? Like, if I were to cut a manifold down that line on a bandsaw, would the runners all be lined up like o-o-o-o? or are they kinda curved like the NA?

get a micrometer and see if the width of the runners is the same as the height. if not, they are oblong.

well that is pretty much a perfect picture. how much of a slope is that, like how much drop is there between the rear runner height and the front?

doug thanks for the tag

That was as close as relative level as I could get with a screwdriver at the moment.

#2 runner seems to be the problem child.

Oh and Np. Fbook is the easiest way to upload camera phone pics.

Spencer, you would be better off using/cutting an NA manifold, IMO.

I measured some time ago - don't really remember exact, but it was probably about 2-3"... A decent amount.

You can see the space between my strut bar and my intake... the strut bar JUST kisses the hood center support right now!

BTW the bar is 1/8 inch think, and about 1-2 inches off the intake, BUT the engine does move as my fuel pressure damper has also kissed my strut bar...

Dunno, but just sitting the damper is maybe 1/16 of an inch off the bar... on the outside of the distance....

it is close... see my pic below, you can see where the bracket has hit the bar...

if things work out the engine will be gone and replace with a new one in the coming months, and more than likely solid mounts at the same time!
