What advantages does your oilcooled (only) turbo have over my water and oil "lubricated" stage 3.. I would imagine a turbo has better cooling with water.. Oh and yes i see the stage 3R has more top end power, just comparing with and without watercooling.. My stage 3 turbo has been installed in my car now but i havent recived my tial wastegate yet so no fun yet.. Keep us updated

I mainly went oil cooled for a few simple reasons. My car sees no more then 3-4k miles a year, so I'm not extremely concerned about turbo longevity (water cooling will help the turbo last longer). I will be upgrading my oil cooling since I won't have water cooling for the turbo. I also wanted to eliminate some of the clutter in the engine bay. It's a much cleaner install with less to worry about (such as a non-functioning turbo water pump).

You got the Stage 3R turbo, correct? That's why I asked you in your thread here a few weeks back. I was wondering if you had gotten a 3 or a 3R.

As far as i know i have a normal stage 3. I bought the whole bundle off john :stg 3 kit, injectors,3 bar FPR, VFLEX, and boost valve. really looking forward to drive the car. My HG went so my mechanic sorted that + valveseats, belts, pump and turbo install..

Also, you're wideband should read just fine like it was gas. Don't adjust. 1point lambda will read 14.7 as usual. to be clear, shoot for 11.8:1 just like gas.
Exactly.

I wish this was put so simply back when I was converting and tuning mine. You'll love the Stage 3 V-flex man. Its a nice piece.

Correct, it has a frequency output. The frequency and the pulse width of the signal (two variables) indicate the ethanol percentage AND the fuel temp.

Youd need that little ZT box someone linked to, that converts both those into 0-5 volt signals.

Bring several thousand dollars when you come with you. We can have it together really fast then lol

I actually just spent a nice chunk of change at Paragon. I'm rebuilding the entire front suspension and brake system on the S2. Also bought 968 mirrors and other goodies. I'm sitting at the house waiting on the 3 boxes to arrive today. Turbo is being set aside for now so I can finish the S2 and have something to occupy my time a little more. Sad to say it, but the turbo won't be done for probably another 9-10 months at the earliest!
