Is there a way to drop the engine, trans, and torque tube all together?

Is there a way to drop the engine, trans, and torque tube all together?
Is this possible or do I need to remove it in sections? Would I have to drop the suspension with it? I did a search but didn't find much.... I am looking for a thread I saw a year back about all the steps to remove the engine through the bottom. All help would be appreciated. Thanks

clarks garage as a good write up, you probably seen it...
no need to touch the trans or torque tube if you want to remove the engine
you just have to "tilt the torque tube in an angle" to be able to get out of his place....
i did it with a mechanical and it wasnt too bad at all, the big pain was to remove the exhaust, all nuts were rusted and we had to heat them all...
otherwise, patience and taking your time is the key of success

ohh then, i dont know
when i removed my engine, i left the dme and klr in their spot, i just disconnected both plugs and pass the wire/plug into the firewall...

I'm anxious for an answer as well. I thought it would be much easier to pull the entire driveline at once, being as I'm going to swap it all anyway (eventually).
I know porsche installed the driveline all at once. There was a picture floating around here not to long ago showing it.

Yes it can be done, but it will not be possible without some means to lift the entire body of the car over the drive train once the drive train is loose (lift).

1+. It look a lot like the Turbo poster when you roll it out from under the shell. Be careful to get all the oil cooler, electrical and Power steering lines disconnected before you drop it down.

I have tried it many ways, engine only, driveline with suspension, driveline without suspension. My preferred method is the same as Erik. Ie suspension off and then drop the driveline down. With high jackstands and help you can get it out and in again fairly easy.
If I had a lift, I would probably do it with suspension on.

you can basically drop the rear suspension w/ the axels off the trans- pull the cable from the ebrake handle and pull the cable out of the floor and leave it attached to the rear suspension. Then pull the strut upper four bolts in the engine bay, two large cross member bolts on each side in the front, castor block bolts, brake lines, and drop the two bolts that hold the rear trans support to the chassis in the rear-pull the fuel line filter off of it first- and the whole thing will come out one large piece. Pull your shift boot first. Shifter can all stay attached.

If tou are not worried about the body,find an a-frame with a hoist and lift the body off the complete rolling suspension with straps running through the cockpit,... after disconnecting everything.
