FS - MO30 suspension & Control arms
Guys,
As I am going over to the other side (996), I have some stuff for sale. I was going to upgrade the suspension on the 951 over the winter but, won't be now that the car is for sale.
M030 Set up
From a 1989 951. They have about 25K miles on them. I bought them from a very good Rennlister in August.
Note: There are no bushings for the sways.
These will fit all 944s from 1986 onward (to my knowledge).
900 + shipping I will listen to all offers too.
Control Arms
Early offset with good ball joints for $50 + shipping. SOLD

will this bolt directly on to an 86 951?
would you sell the front strut assemblies separate?

To my knowledge you need to upgrade the spindle/hub and control arm if you had the stock 951 suspension or it wont fit properly.... thats why i never bought a Mo30 set when i had the chance....
is there anybody else here that can contest to that?

It's a direct bolt on, nothing else needed to bolt it on. I've done a few MO30 swaps.

I can personally verify the condition of this suspension as I sold it to Fergus a couple of months ago.... You will not be disappointed. The only reason I sold (after spending 8 months finding an M030 in this condition) was due to the fact that I found the unobtainable Koni "showroom stock" suspension that is now on my car.

I know I'm going to catch grief to no end for this n00b question, but what specifically does this do for your car? Does it change the ride height at all?
Thx.

the rear on all cars is adjustable withing a small range ~+/- 1/2" iirc by turning an eccentric on the torsion bar connecting arms...
the main advantage is the shock adjustment for compression/rebound
from what I can tell the springs are ~the same rate as the 'sport' option M474?
so you probably don't want to lower more than 1/2" anyways...
the sway bars are thicker = less roll
I want this...bad

Okay
I have collective interest that covers each element. I will PM each of you to see if I can work a deal that meets my needs financially.
