Default wideband and afr gauge question

hi,
here is my question,
i have a uego 2000 wideband kit and an aem afr gauge,
both have a sensor

do i need to hook both sensors to the exhaust system or not?
if yes, do i put them next to each other?

if no, is there a way to splice wire of both sensor and make only 1 sensor???

thanks again

seb

Is the AEM a narrowband gauge? If so, get rid of it.

do what? You want wide band for your gauge but the computer reads the narrowband already existing.

there should be a bung with the wideband that you can get installed on the current exhaust by a shop.

What he's asking is if he can run both gauges from one sensor, or will he have to install both sensor to run both gauges.

Why would you run two AFR gauges?

Take some pics to clear up the confusion.

Why put 2 gauges on the same sensor? Just to see if they read differently?

I'm with carlege "Do What"?

Just put in the WB, and be done with it..if you really want the second gauge, slave it off the first...

My zietronix setup has both a WB linear or curved output, as well as a simmulated NB output... these COULD be used to run a second gauge, but aren't there beter ways of getting a second gauge? and for that matter aren't there better second gauges to have than AFR?

well, i wanted to add the aem afr gauge next to my boost gauge and mbc under the radio

but since i have the uego 2000 kit that comes with the afr black box and sensor, i was like wtf do I do?

am I better to use the sensor of the uego and uego only and get rid of the aem gauge and get like an oil temp gauge?

and sorry for the confusion, im confused myself too haha

Never mind... you want to run your narrow band gauge off your wide bands narrow band output don't you?

Yes you could do this, but you will loose resolution the WB provides....

The link you posted is a wideband AFR with sensor and gauge. The controller is build into the gauge. If that is indeed the one you have then there is no need for the uego 2000. Same one I use and it works great.

it looks like you should be able to connect the red wire of the Uego gray cable to the AEM gauge, as long as the AEM is a wide band gauge... and it SHOULD... read might not... work... the Uego install instructions say it can go to the display head, or to the ECU, which tells me thay are using a standard output curve fon that wire... try connecting it to both the Uego display head and the AEM gauge, the Uego will data log, and the AEM will disply the current AFR if I am reading this correctly..

So in answer to your orrigional question, YES it should work, BUT you might have to pick which gauge you run with...

The Uego data logs... but has a rectangular, numerical display, I think he WANTS the data logging, but also wants a round gauge...
