is that a spray on the IC or a tank built around it with a water cooling loop?
That is my friend Pete's set up. It was a spray on IC controlled by boost. That car was wrecked about a year ago.

Have SFR modify your your end tanks. Easy job and it's fairly cheap.
If thread starter lives in Greece, Europe, is there any sense to send parts from Europe to California to be modified ?
I am sure there are cable aluminium welders in Greece as well.

Olli, don't you have a close up pic ?

I wonder if you need to cut the brackets on the passenger side (or even on the driver side) to fit the modified IC

Sorry, no more pictures available. Brackets needs to modified, otherwise IC won't fit.

The best intercooler for a car is a chemical IC; ie. water/meth injection.

Cost less than half of a higher end/core size IC and allow easily to run 20-25psi all day long and now with a little more $ have fully control injection.spray and datalog injection etc.

interesting section from Bell Intercoolers web site FAQ...

Does one style core cool better than another?

No, almost no difference. With three decades of testing intercooler’s, we have found no appreciable difference between any core style or manufacturer. Keep in mind, that the merit of a core is it’s efficiency versus its internal drag characteristics. When sized for a tolerable flow loss, virtually all cores will produce essentially the same efficiency results. Perhaps a core with slightly less flow area per linear inch, or one with longer tubes, will need perhaps 5% more tubes to equal the best of intercooler’s with regard to flow loss and efficiency. Not a very important difference.

Hehe, I've seen one of those lately Olli and it's like something out of a Frankenstein movie with Boris Karloff!

But then you need an extra radiator, water pump, and routing. Plus the packaging problems.

Already have most of the hardware for water to air IC.
I am not going to use oem modifed IC either. A friend of mine consider this mod.
IC design i have planned does not allow to use air/air type of cooler, must go liquid

HUH? little ole me? And to think, I recently got accused of being a link *****... I much rather prefer the term "link industry distribution specialist"

not OT, but unrelated... I am trying to track down my front mount IC from SFR if it matters... I am considering running it with a CO2 spray... and maybe add some meth injection just for kicks...

Didn't Jeremy Himsel just do a write up on his findings with his intercooler replacement? I'm pretty sure he has a very specialized setup, but I think he has a Vitesse turbo as well.
