gong/catalytic converter warn
Does anyone know what this relay does?
It looks like it has a small speaker on top of it. Mine happens to be buzzing quietly.
Couldn't find anything on it when searching the forum.

In a previous life I was a 60 chief... Dustoff Hawaii 68th med via Camp Humphreys Korea, via Ft Hood...
Any chance you know Dave Mozden? I used his Van after I shipped my car out before I ETSed... Used to exchange E-mails with him on a regular basis..and then they stopped...

In 85.5+ cars it will go on for six seconds while starting the car if your seatbelt is unbuckled. The seat belt light will also illuminate as a reminder to buckle up
The reason it says Catalytic converter warning is because in Japan, that warning goes off when there is a problem with the catalytic converter.

There should be a beep everytime a door is open and the key is left in the ignition. Overtime these relays fail and will only buzz quietly. Sometimes ive heard them on whenever the door opens.
