Default Any interest in a group buy on wastegate adapters?

Mod's please let me know if this is out of line or on the verge of a commercial post.

I've been talking to a local machine shop about making me some adapters for a JGS Precision 40mm wastegate. It is the exact same dimensions as a Tial 38mm so these would work just fine with that too. I'm calling him tomorrow to figure out more details but he was wondering if there would be an interest for them. If we have 10+ people interested the price will drop quite a bit. I'll know more about price tomorrow but it should be well under $100 for stainless.

Also, does anyone know if the Synapse wastegates have the same dimensions as a tial or would that be a different set of adapters?

A bit of advice from a experienced machine shop guy ..
look at emachineshop.com and also and consider an NC profile cutting place that does laser or plasma .
I have found that some sighn making companies have good CNC profile cutting gear and capilbilty and cost less then machine shops as the level on training on the floor genrally isn't as high ..
oh having said all that i would perhap's be interested in getting in on a little batch of laser cut stuff
i would make some strut brace kits and perhaps some 935 style conversion bits .

Adapters will be laser cut and the face groove CNC'd. Didn't get time to call him today before work, so I will know more details tomorrow/

Alex,

Just got off the phone with the machinist...will take about a week or so before I know exact details (still waiting on my new wastegate to come in and gotta pull the old one off the car).

He did throw out a rough estimate based upon rough dimensions, material (stainless), and machining needed. He said his best guess would be $70 and he'd try and get it even cheap than that...especially if there were 10 or so sets to be made.

These adapters will work with JGS Prescision 40mm and Tial 38mm (exact same I/O dimensions). I do not know if it will work with a Synapse, still researching that one.

If you are interested please post. Like I said, more concrete details with exact prices should come in 1-2 weeks.

Alright, FINALLY got around to pulling off my OEM wastegate and designing these things. They aren't fully finished yet (figuring out a few final dimensions). They will work with Tial 38mm, Synapse 38mm, or JGS 40mm wastegates.

Will know actual price in a week or two after I get the prints to the machinist.

Just got back from dropping the prints off at the machine shop, first set will be done next week and I'll post details then so everyone can see them before they commit.

Price is going to be approximately $50-60 for the adapters, and then add another $15 for bolts and shipping. So at the MAXIMUM they should be $75, but it could be possible to get them closer to $60-65. Will know more concrete pricing when I get the first set next week.

I may be interested. I have some speedforce plates but they got trashed in a flood and I'm not sure with all the rust that's on them if they can be cleaned enough to be useable.
