Default Interest in DIY chip tuning?

Is there an interest in the 944/951 land for DIY chip tuning?
Anyone interested if I make a walk-through?
Opinions on what is important, or needed?
Other opinions or constructive criticisms?

Yes. The basics - the three timing and fuel maps, RPM limit and FQS scaling:
Will also include the AIT table, and Baro constant. These will be useful for those wanting to convert to MAF, as both compensations will need to be flattened.

I would be interested in this. I've always been curious how the electronic brains of these cars and others work and how to adjust them if needed.

I used a freeware program called TunerPro. Very commonly used for DIY tuning applications.
I simply wrote the definition file, which allows us to use it with the DME.

You can burn chips, using a burner..
Or use an emulator, the Ostrich to load changes instantly and is re-writable.

Ostrich 2.0

You have to know where the maps are, then using a simple function, convert the hex number to its AFR equivalent...
This is already done in the definition file that I've made.

Yes, actual AFR should be close to the maps, assuming stock AFM and properly running vehicle.
