Having done it, seen it. I can't imagine giving up a unique car like that for a dedicated race car.
The ONLY time you get to use a dedicated race car is on race day.
It sounds like your car could be driven to the coffee shop on a nice sunny morning and enjoyed outside of race day.

Good weather is a regular where you're at.
Sometimes its best to do whatever you're trying to convince yourself not to do. And dont look back.

Tony,
What I'm going to say are my own thoughts, not necessarily what's right or wrong.
I believe racing has rules for reasons. It challenges the racer to not only out drive the competition, but also to out engineer. Without rules, you remove that component. Anyone can jump outside a rule set and go faster, but to what end. If someone simply wants to jump in a car and go fast, thats great. But its quite another to take on the challenge of having to "compete", which is fundamentally different. I personally take great stisfaction staying up late at night because I can't stop thinking about what I'm going to do next to out smart my competitors. Hence the reason my car is for sale. It's a great car for someone, but I'm looking to go into a very competitive class here locally and do not want to cut up this pristine body.
Again, these are my thoughts
