xpost Widebody rear question... inner fender shell?
What happens to the inner fender skin when you install widebody rear fenders?
Do you modify it to fit the new fenders or just cut it out?? Wouldn't water and stuff get in there? Would it cause rust eventually even though its galvanized?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Street or track?
Usually an alumnum tub is fitted for tack cars - I would go with a steel one for street (just so you can weld it in place)

Inner fender wells are the pieces of sheet metal put in place so that you can hear every rock that gets thrown off your sticky track tires.

They suck for a full weight street car but for a 2000lb car, they work fine. One person can roll a full weight car but its heavy.
These were really cheap rollers. They sell nicer units which are probably worth the extra money. I just use them to roll projects out of the way. It makes it easy to get a car tight against the wall or corner, etc..

I have three or four sets - the cheapies work on perfect concrete but he higher priced ones are great, I can roll a full street car by my self with ease.
With any of them you have to sweep the floor a lot - the slightest pebble will stop them dead.

Deuce Coupe Dave they call him.
I was actually thinking more about what the the OP was asking about re the rear inner fender skin on
a widebody conversion? Does the plastic inner stay there?
