I am running 245/45/17 on my '88. Fits fine as long as your offsets are right (higher than 50).

I'd like to see pics of you running a 275 width tire on the front of your car. Oh wait you didn't actually read the thread. Gotcha.

Yep.... that's the widest on a stock fender, late offset, rolled fender, aggressive camber setting >> 275

A stock rear 9" 55et rear rim works well.

A 275 is it with a stock fender the proper camber setting, and small diameter springs.

Yeah you could fit a 275 with the stars all lined up. Depends on how much you lower the car too. Lots of neg, but you have to be careful as you'll get close to rubbing underneath or maybe hitting bumpstops if it's too lowered. I have squeezed a 295 under the fronts, but that didn't include turning the wheel. Just on the hoist.
Btw, any particular reason you want to go wider? It does suit these cars for a number of reasons but if it's just street and you don't have power steering, I wouldn't go too wide.

Pics?
See avatar.

275's on 9's all around is my normal size. I'd like to try running 315's in the rear, but I'm rules limited. Besides, my guess is my near perfect cornering balance would vanish with 315's out back.
