Here's a balljoint that will fit inside a factory springplate, with a little work: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...28all%29%20%20

There is still an extra piece of the aluminium casting at the end of the carrier that bolts to the body to give some extra support in that area. The original curved piece only fits into a rubber mount so isn't really supporting much just limiting twist on the torsion tube.
Also there is no provision for the handbrake cable assy with the Kokeln item.
I made up a support from 1" angle and riveted it to the underside of the carrier, did it twice before I got the correct placing !

If the kolken set up doesn't move outer pivot back ... as it looks it doesn't ... i feel they realy missed the piont .. and yeh the elephant bronze bush looks a better option

Big difference.
And by the way, the person that designed this has built the two fastest track 944's ever built. Orca and Shamoo

I was a step removed - I bought the car from the guy (DMoffitt) who bought the car from Chris. I bought it as a bare tub and without the Kokeln unit installed. I recently bought the Kokeln unit that was originally on the car from MPD47 who had bought it from the DMoffitt.
