Well it isn't a true 3" downpipe. It is a stock replacement downpipe.

Fabspeed inside diameter is about 2.75 inches and it comes with 2 copper gaskets for $250. I used it on my install and was very satisfied with fitment and quality.

Correct. It matches up with their 3" exhaust, which has a 2.75" neck at the flange, then transitions to 3" (the exhaust, not the downpipe). I had fabspeed design the stock replacement pipe for me since it didn't make sense to use a 3" downpipe if you have a 2.75" neck on your test/cat pipe. I was pulling a lot of turbos at the time and finding DP's starting to collapse.

They are advertising for $300 off their website.

You can also use copper gaskets with the SFR unit if you prefer, it has the groove for the factory crush ring but it is not a requirement. The crush rings are readily available from many parts vendors and are less expensive than the copper gaskets. If you plan on removing the downpipe quite often then a copper gasket would be ideal, but for a one time mod, it'd be cheaper to use the crush rings.

You could just weld the 4-bolt flange on the downpipe... not weld a V-band flange on the turbo.
