Default my new testpipe doesn't line up

I just got my SFR 3" testpipe and it doesn't line up. When you slide it onto the wastegate pipe, the holes at the downpipe do not line up. The only way I could think of fixing it would be to take it to an exhaust shop , have them cut it and weld it to make it fit or bend the wastegate pipe on the new testpipe to make it work. I could also drill the holes bigger(make them into ovals) so the bolts line up.
what should it do?

Loosen all the bolts on the wastegate (dont remove any), then loosely bolt everything together, and slowly tighten them all together.

When was the last time you checked your motor mounts. I just did mine after encountering all kinds of exhaust line up problems. New mounts, all joints line up (within reason) still went to the trouble of loosening all bolts then tighten from the top down. Actually did the header flanges first before the head/header,then back from there.

+1 on loosening wastegate bracket. Same thing happened with me on my 3" LR pipe. Called Lindsey, they suggested loosening bracket, and bingo. Good to go.

You can measure the motor mounts with a piece of wire (coat hanger) in the shape of a "C". Clarks will tell you or do a search here for the exact measurements. One of mine was completely collapsed. The other looked ok but was 1.5mm short.

There's only one bracket holding the wastegate to the torque tube. Make sure at least the three nuts bolting the test pipe to the downpipe are loose. You need play in the entire system to get everything in place before you tighten everything down. Whatever you do, I wouldn't let a generic exhaust shop touch it. The flanges are at very precise angles. Ask me how I know...

the testpipe looks too big for the downpipe. I can't even get a nut on the bolts. the stock downpipe is supposed to work right?

I have an SFR 3" downpipe bolted to my stock downpipe. No issues. Had everything loose when I bolted it up.

I also had a problem bolting up to the down pipe but I think that was due to using sfr's "true" 3" test pipe. The pipe had no neck-down before the flange which made it impossible to get a socket on the nuts. I ended up making indentions in the pipe by the mpunting holes to give some clearance.
