In that case I don't understand why you brought up the factory ignition advance, IMHO it has nothing to do with the best torque timing advance and is irrelevant to this discussion.
I wouldn't say that E85 allows not to consider knock, a general rule of thumb seem to be that you can safely add 5-7 degrees more advance over a knock free pump gas curve.

Did some more testing yesterday and it seems I max out the 044 pump at around 1.5 bar. Need to run a proper + supply cable back there though.

So do you reckon you're maxing out the injs or the pump....or both? Hang on, is this with the 1600cc or 1000cc inj duke?

The pump. From what I've heard the 044 can supply ~450 rwhp at E85.
It's pretty fast at 1.35 bar though so I think I'll live with it for a while
Yesterday the alternator mount broke and today a cooling hose. I hate having to spend time on things that are just supposed to work!

Have you given the pumps any thought for your new engine?
I would put 2 Bosch 044's in there but I'm not sure 2 can fit under the stock cover.

Question

I was just curious what headgasket are you using, so you dont blow it because of the high boost ?!?

Cometic metal h/gasket. ^^

I'm not worried about where they (2 pumps) will go Duke. If I put it in the road car it will only be because I can't wait to finish the track car, so it'll be temporary. I'm sure some insulation could be made up if 2 became too noisy, although I can't hear my 1 contrary to what a lot of people say when they fit the 044.
100-181 in 5.4 secs is getting along. I'm sure you can live with that sort of speed for a while longer.

You're perfectly right, and to be more specific I'm a running a Cometic Phuzion gasket with the gas filled o-rings. If anyone was scared of running them on a 100 mm bore (they don't come in less than 106mm, at least not earlier) I can confirm they work. I also run Raceware headstuds torqued to 120 nm. The only drawback is that you need new rings if you lift the head and the rings costs $200+ for a set.

I can't hear my 044 pump either, at least not when the engine is running
The funny thing is that the engine has blowby, but that doesn't seem to affect the power. It leaks oil too...A good reason to finish the 3.0l 16v this winter

Default About the cosmetic metal h/gasket !?

So if I use a cosmetic metal h/gasket with 106 mm bore is ok with the stock engine? Why should I be changing the piston rings? Are the Raceware headstuds a musthave if I change the h/gasket? Thx

No there's a lot more to it. You can't just raise the boost.
First of all, the most important thing is the tuning.
To run higher boost than say 1.2 bar I would strongly suggest a custom chip mapped specifically for your engine or even better run a standalone engine management system that allows for better control.
That is, of course, that your engine specification and turbo setup can handle higher boost. There's too much to write here, I suggest you use the search function

Smile Again with the head gasket

Ok!
Made kind of a typeing mistake. The engine its self is stock, but I have the 300rwhp from Lindsey Racing that include 3.0 bar fpr, chips, mbc, the 4" exhaust and the stage II intercooler. Also have bilstein escort cup suspension. My question was if I could use that kind of h/gasket and what else is a musthave if changeing the turbocharger too because of the huge oil consumption and have one a little bigger, but not much bigger. Any advice for the turbo, what kind shoul I use next?? Now i'm using kkk26/8. I use my car for street driving and some drag racing. Thanks
