Default 951 CV Clicking

Hello all,

My CVs on the driver's side just started to click. It does not happen all the time, but it is happening.

My thoughts are to remove the boots and regrease them. Is it possible to do this without removing the entire axle?

Thanks,

Kevin Sims

I had one of mine start clicking real bad on the 1st day of a one week road trip up the North Coast. I found a Bar B Q store and a NAPA auto parts in Ft. Bragg. I bought a large syringe type needle injector for injecting marinades in turkey and two tubes of CV lube. I pierced the boots near the narrow end placing the long needle near the CV section. I only used 1/2 tube of grease per CV and they haven't clicked in over 3 years.
