18" Cup II replicas not fitting

They have a lot of falling in to do. I just don't see it happening. Can I put the wheel on and torque the nuts down and lower the wheel onto pieces of wood to see how the car will sit? Any possible consequences in doing so?
I'd rather find out if they'll tuck now, rather then paying to have tires mounted and they don't fit...
For comparison sake, here are my 993TT hollow's, 18x10 in the rear...on the same S2 (without a tire). Notice they sit in quite a bit further. I also have shown a pic with a 285/30 tire on the rim. When jacked up, the wheels do fall out some and are essentially dead even with the quarter panel. So they do fall in a bit, but these Cup II's would need to fall in a lot without some serious camber.

I've got 265's on the wheels right now...going bigger as they are almost bald. I'm 5 hrs away from the car right now, but I'll be picking it up next weekend and I'll see if I can get some measurements for you.

Awesome.
I think Kyle D. (black S2/turbo motor) runs 265's on his. Your 265's seem to fill the the wheel well out quite a bit on the outside. My 285/30/18's dont even come that close on my S2. I definitely don't think I'll be running 295's if I can get these Cup II's on the car...

Yours are 10x18 et 47
the problem is the et 47. Your stock wheels are et 52.3.
You might be able to squeeze yours on, but you'll be making a compromise somewhere. You need wheels with et 52.3 or more.

Ehall- These wheels need to go in more then 5mm. I'd say more like 15-18mm.
I have 993TT hollow spokes. The rears are 18x10 et 65. I just checked them. They are perfect. Fill the entire wheel well up evenly. The 993 hollows could actually maybe use a 2-3mm spacer on the back.
Im waiting to hear what ET Alex's wheels are. I defnitely got screwed on these wheels (not by you Jlturpin), but by myself for not researching the offset!

I think your wheels came from a narrow body 993. The 993TT wheels were 11x18 et 45. I did the same thing that you did. I had to turn around and sell the wheels.

You sure? All of the literature I have read has mentioned 18x10 with et65 for 993TT hollows. 996TT hollows on the other hand are 18x11 et 45.
And these are definitely hollow spoke wheels. I found out for sure when I had to spend $70 dollars for 4 valve stems!!

Three Wheelin'
Both my sets of 18" Cup IIs are 8.5" ET 52 fronts and 10" ET 47 rear. The 265s are a going to be stretched on a 10" wheel, so they may tuck up there, but 295s will never work on a late offset.

86 offset is 23.5, so they should fit with spacers. You'll need larger spacers on the front than the back.
I'm not sure exactly what sizes, but roughly the et # of the wheel minus 23.5 ish.
