I just fought that coupler last week. It refused to go on until I loosened the bolts joining the transaxle to the TT. Then it slid right on.

Hoping that does it for me too. Need to get this damn car back out on track! I did install a solid trans mount so there is less flexibility there. Doc's rope idea is intriguing as that seems to be my issue - I think it might be too high.

Life has just been way too busy this spring and not enough time to focus on the car. Hoping to change that... thanks for the thoughts gents, will be tackling this tomorrow.

The TT doesn't like you either, lol.

I've never had a problem with either the TT to engine or lining up the coupler. Grease is key and taking the time to line things up before attempting to 'jam it on'. It also helps to rotate the TT to slide the engine on. And I sure hope you used a clutch alignment tool.

got the engine in! took 3 guys and alot of work but we got eveything hooked up!


now it wont start haha ill get around too working on that tomorow

i cant find the CHIP!!!!!! haha im so pissed! i had chips for the MAF and i dont know where they are i only have the APE chips in the car right now

Hey good job, on a side note, do you have any engine bay pictures with that intake mani on? Im about to powder coat mine, probably chrome, but would like too see as many as I can before doing so! Thanks

yea man, i had a hell of a time getting the motor in and i was using a lift. lining up the torque tube was the worst part.

i have a nice crane! haha Today we got everything hooked up and running! too bad it runs like ****TT gots tune it nicer
