Ahh, let me count the ways:

1 - seat goes forward
2 - seat goes backwards
3 - front of seat goes up
4 - front of seat goes down
5 - rear of seat goes up
6 - rear of seat goes down
7 - back of seat reclines down
8 - back of seat reclines up

What have I missed?

Unlike the 88TS cars, many/most of the 89T's did not even have the 8 way adjustable seats, they were only 4 way (the two 89s that I owned were). Manual sliders and manual seat back (missing #'s 1,2 and 7,8 on your list).

Same with the rear seat back, most 89T's did not have the split rear seats.

That I didn't know. I thought all '88TSs and all '89Ts had the split rear seat.

And when you get into the later production dates of the MY89s, they often dont have the headlight washers either and the motors were built with cast rods, not forged.

Factory started cutting back on some the details due to tough financial times and poor sales right at the end of the '80s....

Correct it is Lumbar Support.
Believe me they are 12-way. I will get pics when I can. I have had many porsches (15+) and they are 12-way.
Maybe not original but I think they are because all the power options work but I havent taken them out to see if someone spliced in extra wires.

And it does have a Split rear seat.

I don't know if my 89T is "late" in the model year, but no split rear seat, no headlight washers, and no rear wiper (yes!). I just figured they were different option packages.

It seems sad to part it. It's not like they are making any more.

Sick Transit:

Gloria Mundy:

I myself also have a late '89 with no headlight washers, no rear wiper (Yessssss!!!) and no split rear seat.

I also have an air box which won't divert air to defrost the screen... -How much would something like that be?

Seems like this would be a good candidate for a rebuild, not parting. I hate seeing these cars scrapped

Since it's beyond my control and out of sheer curiosity, I'd like to see pictures of these seats too. Sport seats? How much are you asking for them?

Lets see some pics and a location... would you consider just selling the car straight out. you might make a few bucks and wouldn't haveto do all that parting out work...
