Hi,
I picked up a used vitesse turbo kit and was almost done putting everything back together when I noticed I had a 24 pin DME chip. I have an 89' car with the 28 pin DME. After using search, there seems to be a consensus that I can swap in an 86' DME to solve my problem. Some have also said that a 24 pin chip can be used in an 28 pin box by simply leaving the last 4 holes empty. Anyhow, does anyone have any real experience using a 24 pin chip in a 28 pin DME? Not sure if it will be more cost effective to get a new chip burned or buy a used 24 pin box. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a chip or a chip/board?
A chip will not work! The chip/board works in both 24 or 28 pin DMEs, see the marking on the board.

I have a chip mapped for 55 lbs. injectors.
Think www.the944.com may have the answer - link on the left side menu, 86-88 conversion.
