Eyeball, you have any pics of your car? I'm considering buying a set of 17" Cup II's. Would like to see how they might look.

Snora, sorry for the highjacking.

Most indy shops in my area charge ~$200. I think I used the same dealer as eyeball kid, though, and got it cheaper.

I pay $300 for a "zero tolerance" race alignmentwith corner balance by a specialist (Jae Lee at Mirage International in San Diego).
It's expensive, but it's always perfect, set to MY numbers, and no excuses.
I don't know that I'd bother with that on a street car though.......

Good to know, I'll probably take my to the Hoffmann Porsche dealership here in Hartford once the control arm rebuild is done.

I've not had my car serviced there before but going back through the records, someone had it serviced there back in the 90's.

Any problems with bolts breaking during an alignment? Mine hasn't been aligned in probably 10 years. Amazingly, it doesn't pull or have uneven tire wear (sans my previously loose control arms).

I had the best alignment ever for $60 at a local shop. They were all certified techs, super clean shop, very good technicians, it took about an hour. They even gave me a print out of the alignment specs. I had it done in Amarillo, Texas.

My local sears alignment tech even has his own rear toe special tool...$69.95 full print out of before and after, launch and pull are straight as an arrow, and he can do adjust to design during the alignment...

He spent 4 hours on my car...total cost 69.95 + 9.95 for one valve stem to be replaced (PO installed crest valve caps that had corroded to the old valve stem...)

AWESOME.... and a heck of a good deal to boot...

OH the alignment was after new control arm bushings, ball joint rebuild, new upper strut mounts, new struts, new shocks, new tie rod ends, PS rack rebuild, so EVERYTHING was off and had to be adjusted...

If anyone in the Raleigh area ever needs one, I can do it, I have done quite a few, maybe Knfeprty will chime in?? I have all the tools, could take anywhere from an hour to two.

$300 here in denver and $400 in NY for a four wheel alignment, height adjusted to euro height, and a corner balance.

Why are y'all spending any $$ on an alignment and not doing a corner balance at the same time?

I used to pay $170 in NYC for an aggressive 4 wheel alignment at an independent porsche specialist. Here in Chicago I was referred to an alignment place by a local porsche shop that did it for $100. It took the tech about 3 hours, but he absolutely nailed it. I couldn't believe it was so cheap -- I tipped him $20 because I figure they're not paying him enough.
