Anyone in Minne. that is a 951 owner? Just wondering. Not a hotbed for Porsche owners.

There's a very active PCA region, Nord Stern, current Region of the Year in fact.

Lots of 951 action at the track events. What makes you think we're short of Pcars?

I'm a relative newbie down by Rochester. Stop by Auto Edge in Mahtomedi if you need to connect with people who really know 951's.

I was born and raised in Rochester. I only say that it doesn't see like a hotbed because I don't see very many 951's around. Of course that could be because I have moved 8 times in the past nine years!Good to see there are some norderners out der.

We are out here. I don't like to drive in the city too much after I was rear ended in my other car. So you would usually only see me on the roads outside the suburbs, typically on the weekends.

Head up to Brainerd International 24-26 Apr to see some 951s and various other P-cars taking Turn 1 at 140+ mph.

plenty of P-cars here, more than you'd imagine and BIR is a kickass track. Kudos to AutoEdge - they are probably the best for any serious 951 work.

Any Nordstern guys remember "World of Ruf" from back in the day?

Link to Nord Stern DE and Club Race pics at BIR: http://www.jimsracing.com/gallery2/m...?g2_itemId=226

I do remember the Beddor Ruf Event occuring mid 90's, but did not attend. Didnt Alois and Stephan bring one of the "factory" cars over for it?

EDIT: Looked it up, it was in '98.

You are correct - Alois Ruf, his wife and the whole Beddor clan plus some crazy cars. They ran 2 car "chase laps" with some nord stern regulars providing meat for the Ruf machinery to snack on - all except Steve Watson's stupid fast 911. I'll never forget my ride with Steve Beddor - we hit 175 plus on the front straight in his 500 hp BTR.... good times. Anyway, get your porsche club and nord stern cards and you'll be amazed at the porsches that come out of the woodwork up here.
