Default Bad temp sensor???

Ive been having a problem with my cooling fans. When the relay is plugged in the fans will run non stop, but with the relay pulled the car keeps the fans on till i turn the key off.
The other day the over heating light turned on. So i turned the car off and the engine was cold.
I checked the relays and fuses.

I dont know whats up. I think it might be the temp sensor on the radiator but dont want to condemn the sesor. Any help or advise would be great!

At under $30, I would replace the sensor and go from there....

Don't forget to give the wires a second look as well.

I've had the oil temp sender give intermittent readings due to the connections.

The fans ran with the relay removed? You have something else wrong. The sensor controls the relay, the relay controls the fan. Youre removing the big huge silver relay right?

oops! let me reword that. With the relay pulled the fans wont run with it in, it will run with the key off and never stop running, until i pull the relay again.

sorry for the confusion.
