Does anyone recognize this muffler? It doesn't look like the stock muffler to me.

actually it looks stockish to me with a different tip welded on

I agree looks stock with a different tip. Does it have the heat shield for the CV's?

looks like the tailpipe rotted off and someone welded a new pipe on.

...Shortly after 'bathing' the muffler with overspray!

-the overspray seems to stop at the weld, so I'd go along with 'replaced tail pipe'.

Yeah, after I'm done with all the maintenance issues the exhaust will be the first thing to go.

Come on guys, this is obviously the radar-cross-section reducing tip angle-cut modification.

This was a secret option provided to US Gov't employees with secret clearance and above.

This is clearly one of those special 944's

Damn, you figured it out. The special exhaust tip combines with the worn weather seals, and strategically placed knicks in the paint to make the car virtually invisible to enemy radar.
