Default Lower Radiator Hose Rubbing

My lower radiator hose was soo close to the PS pump that I have always had zip ties around the hose and the metal part of the oil cooler line. The zip ties broke and the PS pulley rubbed through the hose. Is it supposed to be soo close to the PS pulley, or something is wrong? The hose is installed correctly. Has anybody ever had this problem before? I have the correct lower radiator hose.

Both my cars have an easy inch of clearance, sure you have the correct radiator? Maybe trim off the radiator end a bit to clear it away from the PS pump, or you could get manual steering rack and call it a weight reduction....

I used to have that some problem with my 1988 944 NA. I ended up trimming the hose to pull it away from the pump as well as using multiple zip ties. On my 951 I have an inch of clearance.

Hard to tell, and it is my 951, but my N/A is the same way, you can see the relation of the hose to the PS pulley

thanks for the input. The hose is installed correctly ...there is only one way it will work and I have the correct radiator. I think there might be something with the PS belt length.
