Default DEUTSCH NINE completes prototype of the 968 Turbo RS type II wing

Hi Rennlisters

This is a cross-post from the 968 forum...I thought I'd also update you guys on this fantastic new upgrade in our product portofolio...

enjoy the pictures...

DEUTSCH NINE is proud to announce its newest aerodynamic product - an optimized replica of the super rare 968 Turbo RS type II rear wing making DEUTSCH NINE the only company in the world offering this product. This new aerodynamic upgrade was designed and developed strictly following the below requirement specification:

• Best aerodynamic design thanks to type II wing profile (longer and more curved profile) leading to significantly improved downforce compared to the standard type I Turbo S and Turbo RS wing

• Significantly improved fitment characteristics (also OEM parts turned out to be poor quality regarding fitment characteristics)

• Intelligent Adjuster Plate design (in the prototype version made from wood, the serial production will feature precisely machined plates from prepreg carbon fiber) allowing full adjustability

• Authentic and aesthetically pleasing design making this wing the most desirable upgrade for the rear of any 944, 951 and 968

The below pictures show the TRS type II wing prototype in late development stage. Please note that this is not the final product yet and that the prototype still requires minor adjustments and corrections prior to the serial reproduction:

Adjuster plate design – blueprints and wooden prototypes:

Wing components:

Adjustability demonstration (Please note that in the serial version the bolts used for the adjustment will be Titanium Chain Ring bolts and not the cheap items shown in the pictures):

50% of the adjustment range angle of attack:

100% of the adjustment range angle of attack:

Various impressions:

The price for this wing for the 968 will be 850 euros including the following components:

• Type II center piece
• Side carriers
• 4 adjuster plates
• 2 Titanium Chain Ring adjustment bolts
• Complete hardware kit for installation on the 968 rear hatch

We are accepting orders now on a “first come first served” basis, we expect to be in a position to ship the first serial production wings in 5 weeks from now and will request payment 2 weeks prior to delivery.

Please contact us via sales@deutschnine.com to be put on this list.

And on a separate note...I can't wait to fit one of these on both our Turbo RS replica project car as well as my 951 3.0...

Cheers

Beni

Very nice ...

Will the center section also work with OEM adjuster plates and be perfectly flush with OEM side components?

so from what i understand the price is only for the wing part, which will mount to a stock 968 hatch that retains the stock trim?

any plans for a non adjustable one piece spoiler and trim that will mount on a regular 944 hatch for us wannabe 951 guys?

Looks great guys. Wish I had one instead of the pos thing I've got now.

That will fit a 951 hatch too.

So this does not come with the "bottom spoiler", correct? It's only the parts needed to make a 968 wing into a 968TRS wing, right?

Looks beautiful!

The problem with this it seems is the same as the AIR TRS wing.... it is designed for a 968 hatch and requires additional cost to mount on a 951 hatch.

Can D9 please confirm if this is the case here? Is this going to be offered as a complete bolt on kit for 951 hatches?

What is the exchange rate at the moment?

Will it bolt up to the CPR 3-piece trim kit that comes with
his 968 rear wing?
If so maybe Patrick could provide the trim to make this work
on 951 hatches.

Looks awesome guys, as a suggestion, I would NOT use a slider for wing adjustments. Use seperate holes (yes this SLIGHTLY limits the range of adjustment.) This will allow the customer to just insert hardware as a place setter rather than holding what the actual downward force of the wing is creating.

Did that make sense? I'm a bit low on sleep right now.
