After looking at the picture again, it seems the adjuster plate on the mount is original but the adjuster on the wing is not original. The original doesn't have that many adjustment holes.

Brian.
Duke, I'm the 3rd owner of it (to my knowledge). So it may have been modified before I owned it.

It was on Skip's current car (Chris C's old car), then dmoffitt had it, then I got it.

Although the more I think it, the more I would like to do a solid epoxy trim and base and get away from source FG.
Patrick, are you sure it will work without FG? Somehow i am afraid of epoxy only will crack, especially when hatch is used.

In my personal experience FG combined with for example Duramix is a well working combination. Duramix can be machined, threaded, etc. The only downside on Duramix is that it's tremendously expensive. I have to agree with Olli about plain epoxy. Most likely it can't handle constant use of the hatch.

In the other hand, there's nothing wrong with FG if the parts are made with good moulds and they fit well. I used to import BOMEX FG parts to Finland and they did fit extremely well.
