Thats not a bad deal. What do you need to support it? Do you need the factory GM tool to make those changes?

Yeah, HP Tuners is a great tool (never used LS Edit) on the LS computers, data logging, WB inputs, custom operating systems (MAP and MAF), full system control, real time tuning, and the list goes on and on......With HP tuners, it is just like stand alone...... The self tune option should be available soon as well.

most of those ecu's are the same they flash differently for the different engine combo's IE you can load a 4.3 4.8 5.3 or 6,0 or even 8.1 config into the same ecu, we do it with our tech2 for body shops that build wreck from multiple trucks. They are a snap to deal with and I have used the hp software on a few cars very easy to work with.

You know, I was actually thinking about a DSM harness and ecu setup, its 4 cyl turbo, the 1st gen has a coil per cylinder, maf, and you could buy DSM link for around 500

According to Kenny Duttweiler, at the AETC (Advanced Engine Technology Conference) 2008, the "The Genlll PCM is the best, as it's less complex, and the software is the best".
And that's what they run on their monster creations.
