I was thinking the same thing. But, I think he's been interested in this for a long time now. I've been reading up on aluminum torque tubes and he's got a few posts in most of the topics.

it looks really easy to make. probably something you could do in a shop with only a few shop machines and alot of aluminum.

Oh... I was thinking torque tube. Not torsion. Pretty Damn Cool.

Trusting my life to someone elses welds would be my biggest issue.

I don't think it's designed for use with tbars..hence the coilover use only.

yes, but those aluminum tabs still have to hold the suspension arm. The welds "look" fairly secure though.

I don't want to discourage potential buyers but I would suggest EXTREME caution to anyone considering installing that. I don't think there is a large margin of safety engineered into that piece.

Thank you for posting the pictures. I need to attend to other matters first, so I'll have to pass for now.

The lack of banana arms should make it painfully obvious that it is for a coil-over setup only. I'd buy it, but I have other priorities right now and going over to a coil-over setup isn't in the current plans. I'd make a couple of minor modifications to it if it was going on a track car and it would be something I'd inspect on a regular basis.

It would be nice to see a couple of aftermarket versions of this in steel and 4130.

whether or not it has a full coilover setup, it will still need banana arms.

E, I think he means the horns that go up to the top of the fenderwell on the torsion bar carrier to control the twist on a t-bar setup. Some, myself included, have done away with those in a coil-over setup.
