Default Does anyone have a right axle with cvjoint?

I'm helping a local 951 buddy get his 951 running perfect. Today we fixed a leak by the turbo pump, set his idle to 840, and tightened down many clamps where boost is present. All he needs now is the right rear axle, it is making a significant knocking noise while driving. I went under the car and pulled on it, it comes out of the cv joint. Seems like the boot is holding it together.
Any one have one? Its an 86 851.

No. I would get a CV joint rebuild kit. Its easy, and it only costs around $90...as opposed to over $300 for the whole thing. You need to make sure you know which side (inner or outer) is bad

I'd go for that 944online 'cheapie' full axle with cv's. you just have to grease it up before installation. $140ish i think.

Adrian i have both rear (complete) axles from a '89 n/a. Same as the 951 axles, though i am not sure if they will work on a early offset car. They have a little under 100k on them when removed, still in good shape though they are need to be reassembled. Needs new boots also.
