Default 951 Turbo motor for sale

So, I'm moving on to a 3 liter16v.
I want to sell my 2.5 to offset some costs here. Going to post on E-bay and the NA forum.

My question to you guys is.

It needs half a re-build. All hard parts in excellent shape, alot of the selas in the head and balance shafts need to be replaced.
Also, the rings and bearings could use some freshening up too.
New belts rollers, front and rear mains and oil pan gasket.
Should I sell it based on its current condition,
What kinda going price is that?

Or re-build everything. - Just parts for me and I rebuild it of course.
and sell it that way?

The rebuild parts are $850. Do you think I'll get $850 more than if I don't re-build it? i.e. Waste my time?

the re-build kit is $850 from Lindsey.

You'll get more but, $850 more? I don't know about that.

By the way I hate you...

What would you sell for at pre-build and at post-build?

Just looking through the classifieds on here, a running engine is $1500, An engine with a spun bearing is $1000...

Draw from that what you will, with a fresh complete rebuild you would need to be north of $2500 to make it worth the effort and time, and that would be to break even. Just my 2C..

This is what I was looking at. Is there a market for a $2500 fresh motor?
The motor will run just fine as is. Needs some valve seals for sure. - My oil burning problem was this - But that's about it. - heads off, gasket started leaking, So new seals there too just to put it back together.

I kinda agree considering all the interesting parts people are connecting these things to - outside of this list of course -
I'm still thinking. I want to try and sell it soon to get this project finished ASAP. (which is more like MAY! at this point)

Good thing is that I don't have to change much for the 16v as far as management. Even happier I got MoTeC at this point.

Yeah, it's helping.

I'm thinking if I get the upper end gasket set, and put it back together. It should be worth right around $1000. I still have the intake manifold and TB and all that to make it complete.

so... how much for that little tiny gt30r, downpipe, crossover, etc....

Must be too small for a 3.0 liter 16V?

(I don't actually have the money right now but I'd love to a bolt on GT30R setup)

Sorry Gene, I don't need it anymore.
I just bought the whole 3.0 liter motor. Will be on it's way next week.

I'm never going to get the cage done with all these distractions.

I just can't help myself.
