Has anybody ever tried using a flex connector in the headers to deal with the cracking issue? Or would a flex connector not hold up to the high heat/back pressure of a turbo system?
Just thinking about possibilities for exhaust stuff.
I've replaced many on the DC sports headers for the NSX. They heat up and crack within a year. I highly doubt they'll last very long on a turbo header.
if these are stainless steel then they will not last in the high temp and oxidizing envirpnment. the only option would be to get a inconel material or other high temp alloy.
I have one on my header. Local shop that welded it in said it would hold up in that position and they had used it in headers before (not 951 headers though).
