Could be, but there is very little space for this. That is why we moved the radiator/ intercooler forward.
I have seen some ducting on a 944, converted to 968 look. But that geometry is quite different

I was at a talk about suspension setup recently and the guy suggested that unless strut braces had some triangulation, they were more than likely to act as a nice parallelogram under loading. Have you done any underbody bracing or anything like seam welding the tub? There is a Brey-Krause piece that is meant to help in this dept. What is your opinion of something like this?
http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r1524.php I'm not sure it would fit with a larger exhaust though.
The flanges where the caster mounts are located are a pretty weak point. That is why I redid my control arms, to be fitted in the chassis beams. Added stiffness could work here.

I agree with the point of triangulation. That is still on my wish list.

The problem with that BK piece is that it also is not triangulated. A good idea is to triangulate the strut brace back the the fire wall.

On one hand you are quite right. There is one 944S2 used by a Dutch pro in a touring car championship early 90, that is build that way. I still want that done.

On the other hand, strengthening the caster mount points is not a bad idea. I have seen them bent and torn off in a number of cars.

On a car like yours I would tie the caster mount up into the cage.

That looks pretty good right there. Is that commercially available? Not that it wouldn't be hard to knock up.

Are you thinking of pre-loading the bar somehow?

I'm getting new FG front I have big front mount cooler loosing the lights . I'm asking is it much more work making it from scratch or is it more work trying to get waht what you want from the front sheet metal ?

Sure we can. I must apologize, I just checked, I did not publish those pictures before on Rennlist, only put them on my home server for some to see.

The main reason for me to change the front was that I wanted to change my front suspension and fit a big intercooler. Discussing about this with my car builder it become clear that it would be easier to do this with a new front.
The weight reduction (12 lbs) was more like a beneficial side effect.

The front suspension I have posted here

I will post a new thread on the front cut off. Ok, here it is.

I would agree, for this to work IMO it is necessary to pretension it, like the KLA unit.

I will see that I can take some pictures of a 944 with the strut tied into the cage next week.

nice .......is castor block pivot raised the same amount as the front pivot ?
My chasis guru tells me you can sometimes get a better hanle ride combo if the wheel move back a shade when moving up but of course it can induce dive .
.I'm also expecting to see fabricated rear sub frame with revised geometry tied into the cage next .
I have my bigger inter cooler mounted and I'm looking at the other stuff I'm not convinced the cut off front is the easier solution lokks more like an exersize in showing off ones fabrication skills and that sweet JIG bench
