engine rough at idle???

Default engine rough at idle???

i just put in my new lindsey racing adjustable fuel pressure reg in and now my engine at idle is running rough. its goes from 1000 rpm to 500 and then try to ramp up. my fuel pressure is at around 30psi. Any suggestions??

Could be a vacuum leak.
Unless the fuel pressure is off? I can't recall what the stock pressure is though.

turn it up or down to see what happens if you've not already done that. Any black smoke out the back, too much fuel.

How do you know you have 30 psi fuel pressure; fuel rail gauge? Even then, if your idle is moving up and down, your indicated fuel pressure will fluctuate as well.

my guess is, you need to turn up the pressure slightly

edit, also make sure the vacuum line is attached

30psi is low...
if you have a gauge on the rail, adjust to 40-42psi. That may smooth things out.

Depends on if it wants stock 2.5 bar fuel pressure. If it is, 30 PSI at idle is right, 36 with the vacuum line pulled off.

it reads 30psi on my fuel rail gauge. ill try turning it up some. thanks for all the responses

Did you have a stock 2.5bar FPR? If you did, I would be looking at the vacuum lines that connect to the intake vacuuming port. That is close to were you were working.

i adjusted it a little higher and it smoothed right out! thanks for the help!

You really need to get a Wide band O2 sensor. Without it, you are flying blind.
