Problem is, we placed the GT widebody rears against the car. Man. they don't look like they're going to come even close to fitting. Not very happy. Going to have to make them fit. in the end, no one will know, but damn it's going to take another weeks worth of work. This is why projects always take double the time they're suppose to.
I tried to use GT3 rears, but I ended up to have them made from scratch for me by a local vendor.

Here is an update on the cage. 4 point is mostly done. A few more smaller crossbraces going in later, but it's bent nice and close to the interior.
And a sneak peak at what is to come for my intake manifold build. My welding is improving lots on the Aluminum stuff. Crazy that my steel welding has gotten worse. Of course welding around a cage is HUGELY different than a piece situated conveniently on a table. I'll have the welds back where I need them by the end of the build. LOL.

Thanks guys. The cage is coming slow. I'm building my seat mount right now. Then I can put in the Front A pillar bars... hardest. Then I have to build the adjustable mount for the Tilton Pedal assembly. This build is way bigger than I planned. I know better, but I fell into the trap again. It should be worth it when it's done though.

Here are some pics of the A pillar bars (front) for the roll cage. My highest priority was to keep it up and out of the way. Of course, It took many tries. 4 to be exact. I had to made four different ones before I was satisfied. Third version I decided to build as a stencil. I bent a bunch of angles. Cut them up, and pieced them in there as tight as I could by welding them together like a custom exhaust. -I've done many of those. It worked perfect. I then used that one welded together piece to copy. I didn't have to guess. These were the angles I was going to use. I'm very happy with the outcome. It did take about 15hours just to get them set and bent. They aren't even in the car yet. But the resulting test fit was what I was hoping for. I would never spend this much time on any other car! But the good news is, I have a stencil for any other 944's I would be doing. - Which I hope is none for any time soon. it doesn't look like much in the picture, but those puppies took two days of hard work. I'll post more pics up when they are welded in the car.

Its on hold until the CNC stuff gets back. Truly baller. If it doesn't make power, it won't matter cause it will be so damn cool!!!! - Although I know it will make a big difference.
